Post by sexykorgpa800 »

Can someone please tell me step by step, how I can delete the user styles, user pcm, user samples, user drum kits, all user data, on the Korg Pa2x?

You can remove all sample data in SOUND record mode (sampling) - drop down menu enables you to selectively delete (including delete everything)

You can delete styles individually or in banks on the PA4X form the style drop-down menu - can't remember if that feature was on my PA2x - will be in the manual.

You could perform a reinstall of resources. If you have modified factory data that you want to keep, just perform a "Save all" but make sure you unprotect factory data first - this will save your factory styles etc and you can reload them after the re-installation.

What is it you actually want to keep that is preventing you from performing a rest/re-install?

1. Turn factory protect OFF**
2. Backup all your data to a SET (Check **factory banks have been saved)
3. Install latest OS/Resurces
4. Make sure Factory Protect is OFF**
5. Reload anything you need from your backed-up SET

**Note - if you have not changed any factory data, then you will not need to worry about the turning factory protect On/Off.
Unfortunately the PA2X does not have the delete options like the PA3X and PA4X.

You could also manually delete (initialise) the styles in a bank, save it to disk, then load it back into each bank.
You can remove internal sample data in SOUND record mode (menu option to remove all samples/multisamples)
