Korg will do good things. i am writing here. i have close friends from Korg company. First they told me about postpone. Last month, a video released in Romania, after that many people sent mail to Korg as me, about loop limit, sound mb limit and for extra user banks. in NAMM show, the sample counts were 15.000, in Romanian video it became 17.000. i think they works hard about for these wishes. i strongly hope, no limitation for loop sounds up to 1 minute, and no limitations sample size (3.6 mb) up to 6 mb. I could be wrong when update released, but i hope may our wishes come true. (Sorry for my broken English
).

Hi,
As well as owning a PA4X that I am very, very happy with I also own a Viscount Legend Live two manual organ (it's a clone of the Hammond drawbar style organ). It's a great instrument also.
Late last year Viscount released a software update to the organ along with a software editor. Unfortunately for a small (but significant) number of owners the software update rendered their organs unusable (temporarily bricked might be a suitable description). Heaven knows what it must have been like for gigging musicians this happened to. It appears (but I'm happy to be corrected on this) that in Viscount's eagerness to release the software update the beta testing had not been as extensive as it possibly should have.
There were quite a few 'Viscount Legend Facebook Forum' members in a state of panick. Although my update was trouble free, I was extremely angry that I had been put into this precarious situation and made my feelings known on the Forum. I was particularly angry that Viscount had not made a public statement and an apology up to a couple of weeks after the release of the software. They did Finally make the apology in a statement.
In fairness to Viscount, from day one they were working with the affected owners behind the scene returning the organs to a working condition. I also asked on the Forum where we stood legally if the software bricked the organ permanantly and was told by the moderator that it was my hard luck if that happened.
Months have passed, and everybody is enjoying the update which is amazing and allows you to tailor the organ to your own personal requirements (even down to speed up and slow down of the rotors on the leslie sim).
The downside (for me anyway) was the backlash I received from owners who had successfully updated and were furious that someone dared to speak out against the Company, and particularly when I asked about the legal aspect of the Companies obligations. The funniest part was when the Forum Moderator (a Viscount Legend dealer) issued a statement saying how thankful everybody should be for the Company's efforts to produce a great software update and editor regardless of the fact some people's organs (that they paid good money for) had been rendered unusable albeit temporarily.
Although I'm very happy with my Legend Live organ, I'm very wary about their Facebook Forum and tend to just use it for downloading files. I do not want this to happen to any PA4X owners on this PA4X Forum so however long it takes for Korg to Beta test the software update and test it thoroughly then that's fine by me.

when is the new update for genos?
That's a good question. Several forum members have indicated that they had heard it would happen this month but so far nothing and there are only 2 days left in the month. And as always, no word from Yamaha and its been over 10 months since the last update.

it's like premature ejaculation - lame to check every 15 day and now again for another 15 days - hahahkbrkr wrote:I have to admit, I'm a bit let down by the delay and now I'm more "Ho Hum" about it. I'm kind of skeptical on how it will impact me at this point.
