What happened to the free Kronos sounds by Jack Hotop ?
Last April/May, I recall Jack mentioned he was working on a new set of sounds.
It was a Facebook conversation originated on the Kronos Enthusiasts page
Jack mentioned he was hoping for late May/June.
I dug around FB trying to find a way to follow up, but couldn't pin down a better way to reach Jack.
I have admired Jack Hotop for some decades and was looking forward to this new set.
Did I miss his sounds or is the project hung up somewhere ?
Thanks

He is amazingly talented. I look forward to anything he puts out. I believe he programmed a patch called "Into the Night." It's not in the factory preload, but it is still one of my favorites.GregC wrote:I have admired Jack Hotop for some decades and was looking forward to this new set.

thats what my old tea leaves predict. An update is reasonable in a few months.marc1 wrote:Well, an update sounds good. But I don't think there's anything spectacular to be expected, unfortunately.
A successor keyboard seems like 2020, or 16 months away.
Korg has a lineup of keyboards to sell. Grand stage and LS are obvious derivatives. I suspect thats their focus- selling what they have.
And the K2, even with its limits, is a lot of fun with plenty of challenging areas to dig into.
I think it's safe to assume that we will see this update winter Namm 2019.An update is reasonable in a few months.
That's what I think too. They will introduce new technology with the start of the new decade.A successor keyboard seems like 2020, or 16 months away.
Absolutely, still the best Keyboard out there, imho. And the K2, even with its limits, is a lot of fun with plenty of challenging areas to dig into.
