The metronome would normally be turned off in a performance situation or alternatively if say the drummer needs a click track to keep in time, then send it to their monitor only say via Audio Output 1 and not to main L/R Out.
(As mentioned above go to Global. Audio Setup, Met/MP3 Tab and change the settings).
