Use switch to control "hold"

Post by jb1966 »

Hi All!

I managed to create a drum sample, to auto load it and loop it seamlessly - all stored in a PROG -> Fine. This "hold" function is deactivated and the sample loops infinitely as long the sustain pedal is hold down, which is perfect for the live intro.

Unfortunately when I want to practise the sustain pedal is no longer an option as this will affect all sounds. Thus I have to
1) select the PROG -> set "HOLD" -> write
2) select the COMBI -> disable damper for this PROG -> write
and revert it later which is tedious.

The only possible workaround to me is copying the PROG (so one version makes use of "HOLD", the 2nd disables it) and to use both PROGS in my COMBI and use KARMA switches to choose either version.

is there any chance to control "HOLD" and "DAMPER" by a "Switch"?

Thanks in advance

Why don't you simply mute the sound in combi mode when you don't need it?

Thanks for your answer!

Unfortunately the song requires both hands immediately if the band steps in. So there is no chance to mute with one hand and play with both hands at the same time. Therefore I use the sustain pedal to keep the drum loop running.

And sorry I forgot to mention: I am in Setlist Mode, primarily for quick selection and “cheating” (display chords aso). So I organize all splits and layers in one KARMA COMBI and the Setlist references always a COMBI and in really rare cases a PROG
