Arppegiator/split keys

Post by Badchev »

Hello, I'm trying to play "Why can't this be love", by Van Halen. I set up my M50/61 so the bass arppagiator is on the left and split the keys so the lead guitar is on the right, ... When I start playing the arppagiated bass with no left guitar everything is fine, as soon as the guitar comes in, the arppagiated bass slows down... Is there a way to fix this so I can play live, or do I need to sequence the song?... I can provide the pcg for the patch I made if that helps out....
Thanks all.

There will be two places to set the key zones, one to determine the zone played by the selected timbre and the other is the arpeggiator scan zone. Both have to be set. If the bass notes played by the arpeggiator slow down to half tempo or less, has the arpeggiator scan zone been set for the bass keys only, or is it responding to notes played on the whole keyboard? The place to set this can be found in the Combi menu P7.

There are two arpeggiators for Combis. Each arpeggiator has its own scan zone setting. The Parameter Guide is quite useful in setting up the many possibilities the M50 offers. While this instrument isn't as "deep" as, say, the Korg Kronos, there is still a great deal that the user can do under the hood.
