Mandolin Tremolo Speed

Post by Hobson »

Program C66 is a nice tremolo Mandolin, but I need to speed up the frequency of the tremolo.

Anyone have any suggestion as to how to do that?

Try changing the frequency of the tremolo LFO. It's in the OSC/Pitch section described at around page 36 of the user manual and page 320 of the parameter guide. It looks like it may be possible to link it to the MIDI tempo, too.

voip,

I sure appreciate you taking a shot at it. I tried adjusting every parameter in the OSC/Pitch windows and did not achieve a change in the tremolo speed. Page 320 of the parameter guide is talking about a tremolo effect. None of the IFXs or the MFXs or the TFX effects are set to tremolo on this patch.

I'm still stumped.

Sorry, I hadn't actually looked at the mandolin patch itself, and assumed there was a subtle variation in volume over and above the normal act of playing the instrument, which is of course also tremolo. It looks like the rapid note re-iteration probably cannot be changed, since it is a sampled sound. The tremolo rate therefore varies with the note being played. Playing one octave higher will double the tremolo rate.
