Interesting. Can you point me to the procedure that explains how to do that?SanderXpander wrote:You can actually load DX7 sysex banks directly into MOD7 with the Kronos. There are thousands of sounds floating around on the net.
Thanks! I'll see how this works for me....SanderXpander wrote:You just load the .SYX files directly from disk mode. You'll get a prompt asking where to put them (it goes by bank of 32). There's a bunch of places you can get sounds but this is one that googling "DX7 sysex" turned up:

Thanks. I will probably weed out 90 percent of the sounds, since I'm really only interested in some specific piano varieties at the moment.SanderXpander wrote:One tip with that 200K collection - it uses a lot of subfolders and if there are too many in the file path the Kronos objects when you try to load the file. So you may need to do some housekeeping on the computer before putting them on the K. Also, sounds created for the DX7-II or banks that don't follow the basic system won't work. Still, you can get all factory presets and expansions and a lot of other sounds at near 100 percent authenticity! Enjoy!
Thank You very much for this library. I'm impressed.burningbusch wrote:Greetings,

What does this this mean in the context of free library. What does free mean here exactly?Purgatory Creek Soundware obtained a special commercial license of the libraries in order to provide it to Korg Kronos users.
