EXs51 Unison Orchestra slow starting samples

Post by Big Bear »

I like the string and orchestra sounds EXs51 a lot!, but ... the most of the samples are starting slowly and increase in about one or two seconds.
By playing the "slow coming in" is not natural.
I hope I describe it clear enough :?

When I change attack in " AMP/EQ" page it's not much better. The sound is starting immediately, but it is like the sample itself is slow coming up.
Is it possible to change so that the sample starts almost immediatly?
Thanks a lot!

Hello,
Have you try control surface parameters ?
i have not at present my Kronos under my fingers and eyes but I think it should work with that. I have the Symphonic Orchestra bank from Karo and It works with control surface parameters.
Happy Xmas :D

Maybe. Some samples can have their start point changed - up to 8 different start points. To do this, go to the P2 - OSC1 (and/or OSC2) Basic screen. Find the column that reads "Start Offset". Try changing the start point on the sample(s) until you get a faster attack on the sound here. Repeat if necessary on the OSC2 Basic screen.

See page 59 in the Parameter Guide for more info on Start Offset.
