Voice Stealing

Why does it feel like under the new OS there's a lot of voice stealing happening across many COMBI sounds.
Take COMBI A005 Sweepin'Swooshie Pad for example. With KARMA on and simply chords it's choking like crazy. Voice CPU load is hitting 100% at about 66 notes of Poly.

Combi A005 is an expensive one. I just tried it on an original KRONOS with version 2.1.2 as well as a new KRONOS with version 3, and it behaved the same: consistent voice stealing (e.g., hold down notes for about ten seconds, waiting until the note-on stealing dies down) starts when playing 7 notes (RH 4, LH 3), with CPU usage centered in the mid-80's and # of voices popping from 60s to high 70s (this Combi includes KARMA and drums, so number of voices varies).

It also uses a lot of EXi, so overall polyphony will be lower. All seems normal to me so far.

I tried the same things just now. and the same issue...High CPU meters and voice stealing if i hold the keys for a long time...

Will be upgrading to Kronos 3 now!!!

i have 'idle ' for smooth sound transition for the Combi. Looks like a default setting

JFYI, "idle" is not a setting - it's a state.

Try this: change combis, and immediately go to the perf meter page. It says SST: active. It will stay this way for 5 seconds or however long you have the global SST setting set to. During this time, the effects usage is approximately double, to allow for overlapping sounds. After the SST is done, it says "idle".
