wow....Lot many options.
Thanks for your time Bill.
I will try this out this weekend when we practice with the band.
When I say Works fine at home, it is 1/4" to 1/4" to Monitor (RolanD 350) and its really loud.
Let me get back to you after doing little homework on your suggestions.
You have opened a can of worms like options to test
Thanks so much

Got it working finally.
I was plugged in to 5/6, 7/8 ports on the mixer last week. So went to friends and checked it out today.
Bill , as you predicted it did loose signal when connected through 5/6. My other KB Friend had connected to Mixer via 1/4" --> DI box -- > XLR to XLR -- > mixer in Mic4 input in our last practice.
When I did the same connection today going through 1/4" to 1/4" --> DIBOX - XLR - XLR into Mic4 with same setting, My KB was much louder compared to when it was connected to 5/6 input.
your Suggestions really helped and I should be able to troubleshoot on any Mixer, now as I know M50 rocks
Thanks so much
Nilesh

This are the setting I tried
M50 -- 1/4" - 1/4" to DI BOX -- XLR to XLR input on Mixer (Mic4) --- Loudest sound
M50 -- 1/4" - 1/4" to DI BOX -- XLR to XLR -- Adapter to 1/4" input on Mixer (Mic 4) --- Loudest sound
M50 -- 1/4" - 1/4" to DI BOX -- XLR to 1/4" input on Mixer (5/6 input)--- Medium sound
M50 -- 1/4" - 1/4" input on Mixer (5/6) --- Medium sound
XLR to XLR from DI BOX into Mic input Wins the race here.

Guess you were.Ajbbklyn wrote:Presumably, the DI-20 is putting out a mic level signal. Are you going into a line level input on the amp?

Have to say that the solution didn't really occur to me until I looked at the mixer inputs on-line (and aint the net cool for instant research).
Deja-vu!
Your model is very similar to the old Mackie 1202-VLZ in its layout and connections -- reverse engineering anyone? (or possibly licenced) -- and I recall having to be quite careful about input order and priorities to get the most out of that as well.
Happy to have helped.

i dont know if u want to boost the global volume of the keys, or only specific sounds.
1- to boost global sound, i think there s a way to start the m50 in a different mode, to calibrate the knobs, joystick, touch screen, and all these stuff.. i think press 4 and Enter at the same time and turn on the keys.. i remember seeing a option that calibrates the global output of the m50. not really sure though..
2- to boost a specific sound, personally i chain in the ifx a Tube PreAmp effect, and boost the both Gain option to 1, or 2 db..
it doesnt affect alot the sound quality and gives a gd volume, specially when playing live
