Headphones on - speakers off??

Post by BillyHank »

I feel like a dope because I am sure there is an answer in the manual some where, but I can't find it and there is no mention of it on this forum that I can find, but when I plug in my headphones, why do the speakers continue to output?

Is there a way, other than the power switch, to turn off the external speakers when plugging in the headphones?

I am not using the Korg speakers.

All my previous keyboards would automatically turn off the external speakers when plugging in headphones or had a setting to make this happen.

Bill, my speakers automatically mute when headphones are plugged in but I am using the on board PAAS speaker bar, sorry can't be of any further help.

Thanks Ronnie, I figured that would be the case with those speakers.

Was hoping I missed something regarding the use of external speakers.

Bill, I actually like it that way. If needed, you can use headphones or earbuds for monitors while not defeating the line out sends. Would be nice if it were selectable though, as on Audya.

Don,

I guess I'm just so use to having it both ways, I will just have to adjust.

Not that big a deal to turn off the externals.

Bill, you should have stuck with the Pa900, you can turn off the speakers on that! :)

Graham,

I still have the Pa900 and it is still just as amazing to me now as it was before the Pa3X and if I were a gigging musician there would be no way I would ever part with it. This Pa3X-76 is one heavy son-of-a-gun!

After I unpack a keyboard and place it on the stand, I never move it again except to sell it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Headphones on -speakers

Post by derek bradburn »

For the info of Bill re the above.
I had a PA2x that was powered by external speakers and if I wanted to use just the headphones, I simply turned off the external speakers and then no external sound, just the headphones sound.

Hi Bill, yes it is such a great benefit being light. in fact because the keyboard is light I do not need a bag with wheels, making the total package even lighter relative to my old setup (Tyros 4).

Frank at AudioWorks sold me a great Fusion bag which is light and cool looking :)

Graham,

My studio is just too small for me to keep both because I have a third keyboard, MOX6 and it adds an extra dimension for my musical ideas.
