Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to configure which program change number a user patch transmits, or is this hard coded to the internal patch number?
Thanks,
Roger

Each PA2XPro SOUND has its unique "program number" (per MIDI data info in the manual).
I do not know any way in which you can change this.
What exactly are you wanting to do?
Cheers

I'm using the PA2x pro to provide live backing using Songbook entries comprising MP3s and Single Touch Settings.
The PA2x pro doesn't really do "analog", so I've plugged in an Access Virus. This works ok in as far as I can create an empty patch for Upper 1 voice that maps to the corresponding program number in the Virus, but it'd be vastly more useful if the program change numbers were programmable.
Thanks for digging that quote out of the manual.
I could workaround this by sticking the patches I need on the Virus into slots that correspond to the user area of the PA2x, but that also involves manually muting the Virus when not wanted.
Perhaps there's a way of configuring a STS to not transmit MIDI?
Or could there be a different approach to this that I haven't yet considered?
Thanks,
Roger
Thank you!!!SKung wrote:You only need to go to the track controls and change Upper1 to "external".
After that you see only program change numbers on the main screen where the voice name was.
You only have to touch on upper1, enter the program change and save the STS or Performance.
That works great. I just need to edit the STS's that use the onboard sounds so that Upper1 is set to internal, and to external when using the Access Virus, and the entire setup behaves like a single instrument.
I'm very happy
