Alchemy rocks. No delay and it just sits in the mix like a buzzy buttery smooth caramel cluster of here I am.

Even the delays and verbs punch right through. No need to dial it back.
Hats off to Camel Audio. It's amazing.

I mainly use Alchemy, Sunrizer, GeoSynth and SampleWiz live, I use a lot Auria and many other apps in studio.

Recentely I'm playing with waldorf Nave synth, it's really class and it will be part of the live apps :)

Since the first day I got my iPad it entered straight in my gear, it's absolutely AMAZING!!!!

I'm mostly interested in something that really adds to the functionality of the Kronos live. So not really another VA, unless the iPad's control surface would makecit unique somehow. The Yamaha ARP thingy looks cool as it would save me having to deal with KARMA. I was wondering if Filtatron would be cool as still haven't found a good way to filter an entire orchestral combi. I need some good noise or osc sweep that I can control with my finger. A simple sampler with pads would be cool so I already got the iMPC. And I'm wondering if Lemur would be worth it, it's kinda expensive.

I appreciate any and all suggestions though, so keep 'em coming please! I wouldn't have found set list maker if someone hadn't mentioned it. Thanks to everyone so far!

I'm also going crazy finding a lightning camera kit that allows me to charge the iPad at the same time. So for now I bought Apple's Lightning to Camera USB adapter. Steve Jobs is laughing at me from Hell.

Well, I don't really use karma nor step sequencer or stuff like that.
I really find sooooo expressive using geosynth with lead sounds but also with bow strings instruments like cello, violin.....geosynth gives much more expressiveness and realism.

Ok, so do you play it from the Kronos keyboard or from the iPad screen?

From the ipad screen.
I have a powered usb hub with connected kronos and a akai lpk25 to the ipad.

With geosynth I have created empty presets using the sounds from the kronos (lead and cello) and play it from the ipad.
Believe me, it's muuuuuch more realistic and funny to play :)

The Akai is a keyboard, right? You say you have the Kronos, lpk25 and iPad all connected to the powered hub? Can you also charge the iPad at the same time then? I'd be very interested in a setup like this.

Yep, the akai is a very small and light keyboard I put on the kronos and use play sounds from apps like sunrizers, alchemy etc.
I could actually avoid to do it and using the kronos but I like to mess around :D

No, with the hub I have the ipad is not charging, but for what I know there are hubs that charge the ipad too.
I don't mind too much since with my ipad I can play with the screen activated for more than 6 hours without problems (personal experience during the rehearsals)

I guess I'd just rather be safe than sorry. If I start to depend on the thing during gigs, I don't want to go into one realizing I only have 20% power left.

I just splurged and bought TouchAble, MidiTouch and Lemur, so I guess I'm totally covered on the midi control front haha. I think I may be able to create my dancy sweep using MidiTouch or Lemur with the Kronos.

And I was also wondering if it would be a terrible amount of work to do an AL1 editor using MidiTouch or Lemur.

Well, in my experience, 20% of ipad battery lasts more than 1 hour with the screen light always on :)

Crap, I just found out that for some reason, Filtatron doesn't work with USB audio / the camera connection kit. So no filtering the Kronos :(

You could possibly record the Kronos onto the iPad say, into Loopy or Cubasis and then use that as an Input on Audiobus and put Filtatron in the FX slot. It would be a slight task, but it would work in a recording situation.

Live...no. Heh.

I haven't updated yet but sunrizer works now?
If so, awesome. It's the 10th engine.

If only korg would/could bring the kronos screen out to the
iPad. It fits there so perfect.

Next time on the Korg Karn Evil.
Emerson can put his sig on the thing.

That's actually a good idea.

Yeah it's really only useful to me live. I don't really use the Kronos in the studio, but if I did, I could pass it through my actual Voyager filter. Or my Micro. Or my Sruthi :p

Yep, Sunrizer works perfectly now....it's absolutely stunning.
When I'm in the studio I use it with an alesis qx49 midi controller keyboard where I have automapped all its controls (knobs, sliders, pads) and to create a sound it's really impressive and easy....I love sunrizer.
