Hi Liongold
Yes I have seen these before (not heard).
I am always personally wary about the big 3rd party style packs that are for several keyboards.
Hey, these may be fine, but some samples to try out would be nice.....
I think that from the way the advert is worded they are all "PA2XPro" based styles which of course play on PA3X etc as it says...
I can't imagine that they have been created specifically for PA3X.
Also the ad says
I already have a huge collection of styles I have built up since my i3...
Maybe contact the seller for more details if you are still keen...
Cheers
Pete

This implies simply a collection (not necessarily NEW styles).ebay advertisement wrote:I have built up a great collection of styles for my PA keyboards over the last few years having owned a PA50, PA500 and now a PA800.

Curiosity got the best of me so I ordered these yesterday. I'm happy I did. There are quite a lot of new 'keepers' in there for me. Well worth the $18 spent. There were about a dozen or so 'retreads', but they represent a very small percentage of the total number of styles. I would have paid $18 just to get the XMAS styles.
Here are the SETs included (each set has about 40-50 styles)
8 beat- 16 beat
BALLADS
BALLROOM
BOOGIE-ROCK
COUNTRY
DANCE
FUNK-SOUL-BLUES-GOSPEL
JAZZ
LATIN
POP
TRADITIONAL-WORLD
XMAS
Edit: changed $8 to $18

Hey Thoraldus, that's good news. I'm mostly interested in Pop, Rock, Country, Country Rock, etc., i.e. "western" styles. Hope those are good. So you're talkin' over 500 or so styles for $8, or $18? Seems too good to be true, but what the hey, I might go for it at that price. Any chance we could hear a few of the best ones? Keep rockin' those Rocky Mts.
Thanks,
Liongold

re the styles
basic questions please bear with me
my apologies
in order to get these into the PA3x
is there a way to listen to them first to see if i want to install
if not
loading them into empty unused would be my desire
i assume then that having OS 1.6 i would hear the same instruments
played ?
would it be too much to ask you how to do this once i have the file/s purchased on my USB drive?
thank you very much

Look at it this way, if there were only 18 keepers, that would be a buck a piece. Go for it.liongold wrote:Just to clarify, what I meant by "western" styles was classic R&R, ballads, modern country, blues, etc. I've already got enough tangos, bossa novas, and swings...just want to rock it up a little more. I'm close to buying...would they be worth it?
Thanks again,
Liongold

You can load them into your USER 1, 2 & 3 slots then move the keepers to Favorites. You can also move keepers to empty factory slots. There's a bunch of those.
If you load the .SET all the styles in the .SET will load into and overwrite the User banks. If you open the .SET then keep drilling down, opening the STYLE then the USER0x.STY you can then see and LOAD the individual styles to audition them one at a time.

Took exactly 1 hour from the time I purchased to getting the zip file in an email. Not bad.Pa3XDK wrote:For 18 $ I think I'll give these a try... I hope he'll send them ASAP via my email that I provided in comments. I'll give my feedback also on these, once I've tried them out on the PA3x.

As I was auditioning the styles, I only found one that would not play on my PA600. Deleted it.liongold wrote:Thanks for the input everyone. Of course it goes without saying...these are safe to download even though they're not officially Korg issued?![]()
