korg t1/t2ex/t3ex new pcm disks

Discussion relating to all other KORG synth related products that don’t have a dedicated section. For example, OASYS PCI, M1, N Series, 01W series, T series, and more…

korg t1/t2ex/t3ex new pcm disks

Post by jhulk »

i have created some new pcm disks for the t series with pcm hardware

the first disk is pads/strings from old string synths and new spectra pad sounds that i have created

lots of hours and time spent on these

they will come with 200 preset patches to accommodate the new pcm waveforms

i have manged to squeeze in 15+ multisounds

they are sampled in 32khz 16bits but when saved to the t1 they become 15bits

they sound great and add a lot of depth to the t series and you can create those classic fake synth string sounds from the likes of arp solina

eminent310 crumar rolandvp330

logan melodyII string machine

korg trident

and theirs loads of spectral synthesis samples that make great pad material for choir and voice type sounds and theirs a few vocoder type samples

which sound great as they sound like talking synths

the first disk will be available for £10 and much cheaper than a pcm card

so the first is

pads/strings

the next is a 2 disk set

dwgs from the korg ms2000

the next set is

analog waveforms from old analog synths and modular synths

this will be a 10 disk set of some fat waveforms from minimoog memorymoog

synthex prophet5/my 8bit wavetables through my prophetvs/korgpoly6/61/yamahacs80/sk20/sk40/matrix12/6/obxa/sem/esq1/sq80/crumarbit1/jensx1000/polymoog/doepfer modular/dotcom modular/shruthi with mission filter/monpoly/korg delta/korg trident/lamda/kawai k3/tiesco 100p/ppgwave 2.3/polyvolks and many more

i will also do requests so if you want certain pcm samples doing i will make up a disk for you

this is a great opportunity for those with the expanded t1 to expand there library to what no one has

these sets will also be released for the 01w via pcm cards and the wavestation sr will be able to use the same cards

and i will be doing big sets for the trinity/triton

Wow... Will there be any demos using your work? Would be nice to hear these in action!

im going to post on sound cloud some patch examples

the old type string sounds are amazing

and you will be getting a free copy as your program is major faster way of doing it

the last 6 wavesamples i did in 8bit for the gritty bass tones and they are fat

im going to do all the analog waveforms in 8 bits sound so good

and i should be able to get the full amount of multi sounds on it

as i did them at the moment most are 0.5 secs per sample

which gives me enough of a sample to get the feel of it i can do longer but you get less of them

Sounds really great - let us know when we can listen to it!

Thank you for alpha/beta-testing it, I'm glad you find it useful! Please do PM/email me all troubles you're experiencing with the program!

Hi Synthjoe,

I'm curious on the progress of the PCM program you were working on. It's one of the topics I check on every now and then when I hit the Korg forums. I recall the screenshots you posted a while back and it looked quite promising. Thanks!

I also would be interested in having those ... especially since I want eventually to provide support for more synths in PCG Tools.

I'm not sure whether you've meant the tool I'm developing (or perhaps the sounds jhulk created?), but I'm happy to share if you're willing to alpha-test it. Sent you an email.

I'm a bit confused now ... I'm not sure what tool you have created. I could alpha test is but I don't have one of the synths so only software wise it would be possible.

What I meant was actually the sounds of jhulk but I see there is money involved which is not really useful since I don't have those synths.

Maybe you could try alpha test PCG Tools whenever I will add support for those synths then.

Btw, I have not received your email yet.

OK, then my program (T-series multisound editor) will be the most definitely totally useless for you. :)

If you want I can add a link/logo to it (when I'm supporting T series).

i can send you the multisounds

but wether you are going to support .img files so that they can be read then sent via sysex

or that pcg tools will be able load a multisample filwe then dump it to the t series

as for money i only sold 2 floppy disks

so its not an money making thing for pcm samples or disks

so im just doing them for myself and synthjoe will get copies

as sampling and making the pcm disks takes a lot of time then making patches takes even longer

michel

i can also do them in trinity and triton format

which might be best for you they are in 32khz 16bit format but this gives you more sampling time and more samples

with a sample per c note you can get 100 multisounds max limit for trinity

with the max 500 samples

triton can load in bigger samples but the triton rack and extreme have bigger memory

No offense, however I am not really wanting the sounds. I have a Kronos which is good for me without additional samples.

But I was asking for PCG files to test PCG Tools later for supporting T1/T2/T3/Trinity etc.
