M3 realtime control sequencer

Post by cyros1 »

Hello could anybody tell me if it is possible to have realtime control over paramaters i.e. filters on a programme while in sequencer mode, so If I select track 1 can I have control of that programme like I can in programme mode?

And if it is possible can the parameters be controled by a seperate midi controler i.e. foot switches, pedal

Thanks

You can assign the real time controllers and SW1 & SW2 in Sequencer mode on P1:DT/XY/Ctrls.

You can also use Tone Adjust which is much more flexible and probably what you are looking for. Go to P0-2:Play/REC and select the Control Surface Tab. Change the Control Assign setting to Tone Adjust. Then select the track you want to control. From there you can setup the sliders and switches as needed.

Foot pedal assignents are set up in Global mode P2:Controllers but you don't get a lot of choices there.

I haven't tried this but I think it should work. Assign the foot pedal to one of the RT Sliders. Setup that slider the way you want. Then the foot pedal will duplicate what the slider does.

Setting the pedal to CC#74 (cutoff) or 71 (resonance) should work as well. It would be channel dependent though, depending on what you need that could be either good or bad.
