Battery pack for microStation?

Post by BillErickson »

This question was prompted by a side-issue in another thread..

One of the great features of the microStation is its portability, and yet it doesn't allow battery operation.

Is there anyone out there that's discovered a third-party solution? Maybe like a battery pack where you can insert a bunch of C- or D-cells and a plug that will fit the power supply socket on the microStation? It would have to support the 9 volt / 1700 milliamp power requirements and proper polarity on the tip. I guess my only concern is that with a 1.7 amp power draw, batteries might not last too long  .

Man, how did I miss that? Thanks, Brad. And you didn't even say "use the search feature"

So, has anyone picked up a battery pack like this for their microStation? How long does the battery last on a charge?
