Was there an R2 or R1 from Korg at any time?

It really seems unlikely that Korg would put out a successor to the R3 until they actually release a bigger VA synthesizer. At the moment, they are releasing yet another microKorg. This time it's the XL+ which is still based on the Radias engine. Seeing how the first XL was released only a year after the R3, perhaps the R3 just didn't sell too well. I go out to local shows like twice a week and I've yet to see anyone in my city playing one. I still see a few microKorgs out there, but mostly everyone is using anything vintage.
Roland Juno-60, SH-101, TR-606, MC-505, Casio CZ-101, Yamaha DX100, DX11, Kawai R-50e // Korg R3, microSTATION, Monotribe, MS-20 Mini, SQ-1, minilogue, electribe sampler, Volca series: Bass, Keys, Beats, Sample, FM, Kick, Moog Theremin
I don't think so R3 is not selling well because it keeps the price strong after few years, even on ebay. Besides that baby really sounds good...Re-Member wrote: perhaps the R3 just didn't sell too well. I go out to local shows like twice a week and I've yet to see anyone in my city playing one.
