I was glad to hear you were able to at least restore to 1.0.2.
Have you tried using a different USB stick for the 2.0.2 upgrade part?
Maybe try this:
1. Restore once again to 1.0.2
2. Format a different USB stick using Kronos.
3. Put the 2.0.2 installer files on this different USB stick.
4. Attempt the upgrade to 2.0.2
My thought is that if the upgrade to 2.0.2 has failed 2 times in a row with the same USB stick, it might be good to try a different one.
I want to inform you that a 3% of my clients face USB Stick issues with corrupted files !
Give a serious attention of USB Stick quality when you use it for OPS Upgrades !
I'm sure this issue was a matter of USB Stick failure & restore is the option !
Advanced users should try to create a System SSD ISO in order to earn time in such
situations ,Creating Linux bootable USB sticks with restore DVDs is also a good option.
Different USB stick, same problem. I seem to have this problem now with restoring to 1.6 as well. The bar stops at exactly the same place.
Would formatting the SSD help? I would like to avoid that, the whole re-authorization thing might cost me this weekend and I need the Kronos for important rehearals.

Hi Erik,
It might be worth giving it one more try to restore to 1.0.2 then try to upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.5.
If that doesn't work, then it might be best to contact Korg Support for your country. They would probably be best able to let you know what your next step should be.
Try downloading the OS again from website. It may be corrupted download. Also wait a few minutes after copying the files from computer to usb stick. Then use eject usb stick command before unplugging the stick from computer.

Very significant observations that most of users ignore !
You never should remove an USB stick directly after writing, because a computer can delay the writing (e.g. to prevent unnecessary writing or for performande reasons). Therefor a cache is used (in the computer's RAM). When you select 'eject' it will writes its cache to the USB stick and mostly also before but to be sure the 'Eject' is the best option.
Actually I also don't use it often, but with important actions like an OS upgrade I rather wait 10 seconds extra (and check if the light on my USB stick has stopped flashing).
might I also suggest waiting a while. you said it got hung up at 75 percent. How long did you wait. Sometimes these things take a good 10 to 15 minutes to happen. might I suggest it next time you start the process give it a good amount of time walk away and come back in about 20 minutes in and see if it still hung up. if I'm not mistaken the update has to unpack the files before it can actually install it and all that is done in the kronos.

PS- just because the bar stops moving at 75 percent doesn't mean anything isn't happening check the indicator light above the data dial. If it's flashing the hard drive is working and things are being installed. the bar is just for reference only. It is not necessarily an indicator that something has stopped working. once again I recommend you give it time it will probably install. don't be in a hurry.

Be sure I waited long enough and checked the SSD led.
