Hi! Does anyone know from where I can get "distorted B3" ( Jon Lord ) organ sound, and bright pedal / lapsteel steel sound too.
I tried to make these, but I'm not satisfied enough.
I had Hammond in 70'ties, I'm fond of 8 8 8 8 drawbar settings, those Booker T used when played Green Onions tune.
I added dist. effect in that sound, but problem is: when have enough distortion, sound comes out too loud. In small pubs it's impossible to play that loud. for example Born To Be Wild. etc.
About pedal, or lapsteel sound, I have had 3 lapsteels.
I tried to edit KORG original pedal steel sound, in vain, it isn't bright enough.
I used with my steels Fender volume tone pedal and Music Man 410 amp.
equipped with four 8" speakers, excellent sound.
Nowadays I haven't those instruments anymore, but I have these sounds in my head, thit's why I try to imitate these.
