Trouble With Factory Restore--Kronos--

Post by derek4u »

I am convinced I am the "odd man out," here--can't find a single post about my issue/problem...

I turn on my Kronos, and red progress indicator freezes up 1/6th of the way across--then, error message appears: SYSTEM STARTUP FAILED--Please remove any USB devices and restart

So: I try factory restore, with good DVD drive and accessory discs one and two...

Same thing happens, though I follow instructions precisely!! (Dialogue box prompting me to choose factory restore option does not appear.)

Anyone know, or have idea, what I might be doing wrong, and what I should do?

Thanks!!

Happened to mine about a couple months ago, but it would fail formatting the disk every couple of tries too. I figured out it was the SSD, and took the opportunity to upgrade to a Intel 320 80Gb. Works awesome now.
