Well, I do not like to open a new thread for every tiny question, but I have actually an issue which is literally robbing my sleep.
I have an Electribe and a Kaoss Pad 3 for about three months or so, but I still do not find the right way of arranging them. I do not know whether to put the Kaoss Pad right or left from my Electribe. I am right-handed so far, so maybe you may give me some advice on that. What makes things even worse is that I am about to get my brothers Kaossilator Pro. How should I place the three devices, I do not know. It actually feels even weird when I have only the EMX and the KP 3.
I am looking really forward for some arguments and hopefully a solution to my problem. It does sound very crazy I know, but it is not the first time that I spent an hour un and replugging my gear, put it in another order, and then repeat step 2 and 3.

Hi,
I change my gear around frequently, i think its quite normal.I use an A-frame and a 2 tier stand. So i can have above and below. Experiment with different configurations. The solution should then present itself.
Personally i'd have the KP3 on the right of the EMX. As for when you get the Kpro more experimenting.
Good luck

Whichever needs less precise work should be by logic put one the left side (for a right-handed person).
Since I'm playing a bit of keyboards, and I'm quite poor with it, I leave all the clumsiness for the Kaoss Pad, since I only push buttons here and now and do a quick sweep with one finger over the pad.

This is probably the most straightforward way to think about it for those of us who are not you. I am right-handed, but in contrast to koneyn, I practice a lot of fairly precise moves on the KP3, so I keep it to the right of my EMX when I pair them. But for you, it comes down to what you find most comfortable.koneyn wrote:Whichever needs less precise work should be by logic put one the left side (for a right-handed person).

Don't let this consternation rob you of sleep though. There is rarely a perfect answer to anything with respect to gear, and this includes arrangement. Eventually you may expand your rig and have to go through this again. Embrace experimentation -- that's where the best ideas come from sometimes
