Hi there,
Basically I currently have my laptop connected to my kp3.
laptop 3.5mm>rca kp3
kp3 rca>3.5mm speakers
I was looking into buying a cheap mixing desk to blend my tracks better and i found Hercules DJ control.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002 ... d_i=468294
However, this only has midi output . How would i link my laptop , kp3 and the hercules? What new wires do i need etc.
Regards,
Callum.

the hercules MP3 doesnt have audio ins and outs.. only USB. Its only for use as a MIDI controller for mixing tracks using software (Virtual DJ LE is provided with it) I assume you are already using software to mix tracks but want the hands-on of a controller
I was going to get the console MP3 but then saw the Hercules DJ console Mk4 (I have one) It has an onboard sound card and can be used as a 2 channel mixer (but still has to be hooked up to your laptop/PC.. not standalone)
It has 2 sets of RCA audio ins and 2 sets of audio outs (one main out the other monitor out)
You might want to have a look at that incase at a later stage you add something more to your setup and want to mix external inputs into mixes (you can run an external input on one deck while playing a track on the other)
If you are going to go ahead with getting the MP3 then your setup would be as follows:
Hercules MP3 ---USB---> laptop (for MIDI control only)
laptop --- 3.5mm -> RCA-> KP3
KP3 -->RCA>3.5mm-> speakers
so the same as you have it now essentially
