streaming wav files from storage media.
is it possible to play wave wav files from kronos storage media without loading them like you can on the m3

Yes.
Plus it has 16 tracks of streaming audio in sequencer mode for recording and playback.

Now, I'm confused. I thought that it was not supposed to be possible to stream user samples from the SSD, even though most users indeed want and would use this feature. Has this changed?Sharp wrote:Yes.

Hi guys.
Read the question and then read my answer. I didn't say you could stream user samples, as in samples you use in Sounds. The question was directly related to a function the M3 has which is also on the Kronos.
Which is..... You can select a wave file on the SSD and stream it back without loading it, but you have no control over it. You cannot FF, REW, or anything other than start and stop.
An additional feature that's on the Kronos that the M3 doesn't have is you have a 16 Track Audio hard disk recorder (SSD) function that runs along side of 16 midi sequencer tracks. In this mode you can stream up to 16 mono or 8 stereo wave files in sync with the sequencer directly off the SSD and process those tracks with all the audio controls on the Kronos, including apply effects.
You have full record and playback ability here to record and playback audio as you like in Sequencer mode, and it will all stream. You DO NOT use RAM.

When streaming wave files as you indicated, can I...
1. Copy a stereo track from my DAW to the SSD and use it for one of those streaming tracks?
2. Can I stop / start / change location in the song and the streamed wave finds its proper location?
