Hello.
Using the stereo recorder MR2000S since a few months , I'm surprised with little of discussions about.
I thus begin this topic new to arouse the exchanges between the owners of this device.
I added to the MR2000S a preamp of the German brand LakePeople and this tandem constitutes a high-quality station for stereo recording.
The 2 devices sound very transparent and their simplicity of functioning make them transparent to the use too.
However, some improvements (in my opinion) could be brought to the software-system of the MR2000S.
KORG not proposing e-mail address for requests of users and follow-up of their products (it is moreover the biggest regret which I have concerning the MR2000S), I hope that someone from the team having in responsibility the development of the MR2000S will read this topic.
I have already contacted the importer in France which promised me that he will pass on my propositions to the manufacturer.
In the meantime, here are my propositions.
First of all, correcting a small bug: during the use of the function USER NAME, if the chosen name ends by the sign "space" , the automatic numbering
is not made and we obtain an error in the recording with the display of the message "Warning/record Time Limit/[exit]".
Now some ideas of improvements about the OS which will optimize the potential of the MR2000S:
1°/ Having 2 additional recording modes in "MENU/REC MODE":
- Mode SINGLE MONO with listening distributed on the 2 channels Left and Right for outputs HeadPhones and LineOut.
- Mode M/S (Middle and Side) with encoding allowing the listening in stereo for outputs HeadPhones and LineOut.
2°/ Allowing the regulation of the stereo balance for outputs HeadPhones and LineOut by a combination "touch (for exemple: EXIT) + HeadPhones Volume".
3 °/A function "FILE NUMBER RESET" allowing to zeroing the automatic file numbering.
I hope that this topic first one will reach his objectives, namely:
- Arouse the exchanges between users
- Wake up the attention of KORG on remarks of users.
Cordially.
Dominique
