Headphone jack input shorting out - part unavailable?

Post by tessalin »

The headphone input is shorting out on my Triton Pro. Korg says the part #001193500 is no longer available. I sure hope I can I find it somewhere else. Any ideas? I already tried KorgParts.com.

Thank you!

Hi it might be a universal piece, for example you can take a headphone jack off any other radio or etc and wire it into your Korg, have you unscrewed the back and taken it apart?

Just be careful when opening it, keep it unplugged and when you put it back together dont pinch wires under the bottom cover, might need to use electrical tape and tape down the wires out of the way, that is what I did.

take a photo of the jack part you are talking about and show it to me and I will tell you what to do, send it to my email ZTI7@live.com

thanks,
Danny

Triton Pro Headphone Jack Short

Post by tessalin »

Danny, I just received an offer of assistance from a local friend on this. Last night he removed the little circuit board holding the jack socket and is taking it to the local musician's store, Robb's, to hopefully get a replacement socket. If we are unsuccessful with this I will take the photo and email it to you. Thanks so much for your willingness to help with this!
