NEW MUSICAL RESOURCES for PA80 and PA50

Post by johnsmies »

Hello there,

Just before switching over to the PA500 I completed an extensive job of creating a new set of MUSICAL RESOURCES for the PA80/50.
It took me more than 100 hours of tweaking and programming and I am sure you will be delighted with the results, regardless of your tastes.

The emphasis is on what most people are not very good in, or do not have the time for : great PERFORMANCES.
In doing so I have also replaced approx. 30 or 40% of the factory styles, apart from the users that is. And there is a complete set of new Programs. Incidentally none of the programs or styles are mine but are from all sorts of sources. The PERFORMANCES however are all mine and have been tweaked with lots of time and patience.

Those of you who own a PA80 or PA50 can send me an email and I will send them to you by mail. You can then transfer the data to five disks and load them onto your PA. (after having first saved your own set of course).

Basically I am not in it for the money so I am not charging you anything as such. However, if you are really pleased with what you hear once you have loaded all this into your keyboard, a small donation would be appreciated.

Please mail to this address: matseims@zeelandnet.nl
and mention : "please send me Musical Resources PA80/50"

greetings,

Hello there,

I am amazed to find that few people seem to have an interest in new and proper PERFORMANCES because they are the heart of renewing any keyboard.
But apparently everyone is satisfied enough with what they have, so be it.
However there were three or four people who reacted by mail and wanted my software, which I sent them by mail. They have not had the decency to respond (here or by mail) to the work that I sent them and on which I have literally spent more than a hundred hours of tweaking and programming.
I find that very frustrating, I guess (musical) times are a-changing, to quote
Bob Dylan.......

Hello,

it is totally pointless to publish a list of names of my performances, after all
"What's in a name ".
I am currently working on the same material for the Korg PA500 and PA800
I am discontinuing my offer here for free.
Any one of you who wants my Musical Resources can mail me directly and learn what they are (performances, styles, cost) etc. and decide for himself if he wants them or not.
All I can say is that more than 100 hours of programming will surely leave you with some quality stuff. On the other hand one cannot honestly expect all this to be entirely for free.

by all means Paul,

I do not know why people would assume that more than 100 hours of programming should be taken for granted and a musical favour only.
I do NOT want to be paid, but I would like a contribution to all my time and efforts. Why, only take a professional keyboard entertainer and his fee for one
night (4 hours !!) performing.
As to the musical resources here referred to I am asking a contribution of 50 euros (approx. 70 bucks) which I think most people will understand.

kind regards,
John

Paul,

I do not know what you are trying to achieve here, but if you read ALL of my entries in this thread you will read that initially I offered my software for free on the understanding that people who got it would give feedback and would consider a voluntary donation. As none of the three or four people who received my software even bothered to give feedback, let alone contribute, I then said in my second entry that I was very disappointed and in my third entry that I was withdrawing my free offer. You and anyone else can read all this in this thread for themselves.
I don't see what you are getting upset about. I have been doing honest work, and a lot of it, and I do not mind other people sharing. On the contrary. In the past I have offered lots of things for free, some of my software is still here on the download pages. But there are limits. And if I invest approx. 100 hours in programming I think my request is a fair and legitimate one. Of course you may feel free to differ, but do not picture me as the bad guy trying to squeeze money out of fellow musicians please.
And for your information I have been working real hard the last six weeks on making new Musical Resources for the PA500/PA800. Yes again it implies a tremendous amount of work and hours, and yes again I will ask a minor contribution from those who want have the fruits of all this labour.
I hope this has clarified the situation.

kind regards,

Glad we understand each other Paul, and check the PA800 forum here, where I will keep you and all updated about my 500/800 project. As already mentioned there somewhere I will add some mp3 demos (probably via Rapidshare) of the Musical Resources that I have nearly finished. The point is that I still have to find someone locally who has a PA800/PA-2X, as their structure is slightly different from the PA500. Unfortunately I was unable to purchase the PA800 for obvious reasons , so I was forced to do all the programming on the PA500, which in itself is a great keyboard, no sweat !!

Hello John,
I am the new kid on the block and am interested in your work.
I tried the contact you but the email address you have posted is not accepted. The message it gives me is that it is not properly installed.
