KP3 in a hardsynth setup?

Hey, so i have a KP3, Electribe mx, and microKORG running into my boss br900cd portable recording workstation.

I was wondering if anyone else has come up with any cool ideas and unique setups with similar equipment WITHOUT a DAW or computer.

there's a dude named novatron up in seattle who plays shows on 2 electribes, 2 kaoss pads, a kaossilator, some korg mixer and a roland sp404. pretty nasty, i was at a festival last summer where he had his own stage set up, dope as shi!t.

per your sig, i think you mean "bass" not "base".

my mistake, mate!

but is there a way i can quickly switch the function of my KP3 from a midi controller (of my EMX synths) back over to an effects unit for my mix, then back?????

shift+8 changes to external control mode. don't think there's any faster way to do it. otherwise you could write a patch that would change the functionality on the arrival of a certain event but that would kinda be a pain and i'm not up to it these days.

I'm building live setup of pure hard toys and instruments: mic, acoustic guitar and 5-string tenor bass through small effects processor, Kaossilator running to the common (non-DJ) mixer, and KP3 is used as an effects loop (stereo alt outputs to stereo return). Now awaiting the moment I could afford purchasing Microkorg XL, and dreaming about Wavedrum and Boss RC-50...

Good evening nerds!

So I went and bought a usb => midi (4x4) iterface [m-audio midisport 4x4 anniversary edition).

I just a got very cheap emx as well as a used kp3 (both are brand new condition with no loose knobs, faders, or wiggly buttons... and scratch free!!!

i also have a microkorg, br900 recording unit, and laptops to run either fl9 or ableton suite 8

I have never gotte this deep into hardware, previously using my axiom 25, lpd8, and nanopad to control plugins and other DAW parameters.....

Now, my line-mixer (little phonc mu802) is currently without power supply, which left me with an oppurtunity to construct a brand new rig with several pieces of new euipment with another challenge.

Please, does anyone have any recommendations on incorporating FL Studio in this setup????
