Where is Korg Italy???

Post by mrkorg »

Hi

It's been rather odd that we haven't heard from Korg for a while, We had Jerry in this part of the forum late last year/early this year, Paolo appears once every blue moon. What is going on?

Any new OS proposals?

Also: it's been almost a year now since the last time there was added some content (a few styles) on korgpa.com.
The 'NEW'-labels are getting annoying.

NO news from the Korg-frontier, it's very, very quiet... too quiet IMO.

Hi,

We at Korg Italy are constantly monitoring the forums (lot of great ideas, here), but partecipating very little. The new projects are really causing an overwhelming amount of work. Social life of any kind is the first victim.

Best regards,
Paolo

Well, I'd rather choose to have the complete patch tweaking capability on my PA 588, just like PA800 and 2X PRO. They have different chips, so 588 has scaled-down addressing capability? Then I'd get rid off some patch slots or song book function, etc. Or two versions of OSes, focusing on different functions ? give the option to our users?

 Well, that's my dream. Wish it can become true.

Paolo,

It's good to hear from you knowing that you guys at Italy are following the forums. Keep an eye out for the PA2X/PA800 wishlist.

While we are at it, Korg USA appears to have the upper edge in terms of the bonuses and upgrades for the M3 and M50. Comeon Italy we know you can do better, lets overtake the team in the USA :3dthumbs:

Actually, the web site has recently been updated with the new instruments designed in Korg Italy (including the SV-1 and the new Pa500 models). Admittedly, everything else has slowed down a bit, but we'll catch up soon.

Best regards,
Paolo

Pa588 has the same editing capabilities of the Pa500. You can find them detailed in the Advanced Edit manual, that you can download here:

Thanks for reply. But what I mean is the editing capabilities of 800 and 2xpro models, not 500. Check the link below please.

Paolo,

I didn't realize the SV1 was a creation from the design team in Italy until you said. It is a great product, well conceived and nicely presented. Second only to the Pa2x

Can I ask a favour? For those of us like me whose Pa2x's are now out of warranty, please could you provide suitable specification/part numbers for the LED's that have blown (only the single color ones seem to blow). There is a consumer electrionics repair shop in Corfu who can fit replacements but they need to know specifications to order suitable replacements?

Many thanks,
Rob
