How To Restore O.S.?

Post by Ultimate Dj »

Hey,
How can I restore my OS in the M3?
I have found two problems with it. One is that four keys don't work at all. EXCEPT when I loud in a big sample back wait for it to load than hit them. All four work once and when I hit them they hold the note until I change pages. After that nothing.
2nd is that sometimes when I'm in Sequencer and I try to change Midi tracks nothing works and they wont change using the Slider the Round (thingy ) and the Arrows. I go to Combi and change stuff go back to Seq and it works. So I hoping that in restoring my OS it'll fix these two glitches.
thanks!

In Global mode, you can choose "Load Preload/Demo Data" from the menu to restore the original data (all PCGs, global settings, etc.).

Yeah I saw that. Its not the same as Restoring the whole OS. I don't want to just put the Original PCGs in. That won't do the Reset I want.
thanks though.

You just reinstall os 2.0 from an usb stick.
The 2.04 is still in place.
If you try the last you'll get: Already installed.

Did you actually try reloading all data?
It doesn't only put the original PCGs back, but restores all the settings made in Global mode.

Regarding the glitches: do the four keys not work with some specific program or combi, or is this a general problem (throughout all progs/combis)?
As to the sequencer problem, there was a lot of re-work done in this area (since version 1.x), so it is very likely that the sequencer implementation contains bugs. I doubt that re-installing OS2.0 will solve that problem.

No I haven't tried thinking it was only restoring the PCG's. I'll give it a shot. and Yes the keys don't work any where. The only time they work is when i explained in Sample mode one time after I loaded a specific KSC.
Really? So what...It just is a bug that will just get worked out eventually?

how do I Factory Reset?! i was looking everywhere in the Manual and couldn't find anything.

thanks Motom. I'mma try all this stuff.

thanks ya'll! :verycool:

Thanks mate. Don't know how i missed that. I'm not sure I need to do it now cause I hooked up my Nanokey to the M3 and all the keys worked so it doesn't seem like software. I'm going to try and blow out the keys there.

thanks :)
