Saving Manual Bass Setting With A Style

Post by LarMorgan »

I am trying to set up a favorite style so that everytime I use it, it runs automatically with the manual bass setting on. However, I find that the manual bass setting does not get saved with the style. I would assume the manual bass setting could be saved with the write style performance command, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Can someone tell me what I am not doing correctly? Thank you.

Hi Larry,
as dclared in the Manual PA800 V2.0 on Page 12 you can STORE
the Function of "MANUAL BASS"

either in a PERFORMANCE
or in a STS (in a Performance)
or in a SONGBOOK STS !

TBleck,
Thank you for trying to help me. I have tried the solutions you mentioned to save the manual bass setting, but it does not work. When I move from my style with manual bass to another style, turn off manual bass, and then return to the original style, the manual bass setting has not been saved. Maybe that is a difference between the 800 and the 2x models.
Regards,
Larry

Hi Larry,

there is NO DIFFERENCE in cas of this between PA800 and PA2XPRO.
Your "attendence" (? dont know the correct word) is wrong.
In case of selecting styles... DO NOT SELECT STYLES only on th left side...
PREPARE the STYLES with all their individual settings in a (STYLE-)-Performance...
YOU HAVE TO SAVE PERFORMANCES of this style-selections with all the correct settings.
Then RECALL is: Make sure, that in case of selecting Performances the LED from STYLE CHANGS is "ON" before and then afterwards select a performance, prevoiusly prepared and saved by YOU!
SO... like you're able to modify the TEMPO of a STYLE-PERFORMANCE you should be able to save the current state of MANUAL BASS / MEMORY etc.
Even a LAYERD/FULL Keyboard instead of SPLIT Mode is easily saved by that way using PERFORMANCE.
SO: you have to recall your prepared Performances instead of selecting the (ROM)-Styles.

The style is recovered with YOUR Settings at the SAVING TIME!

Hope that really works on yor key...

best wishes TBLECK

TBLECK, I appreciate your perseverance in helping me on this. I printed out your note, and spent time working on it. I finally found the core of the issue in the global settings. For some reason, manual bass was locked. I unlocked it, saved the style following your guidance and it saved the manual bass with the style. Thank you!
