USB MIDI Driver problem

Post by alphanumeric »

I have installed / reinstalled the latest USB MIDI driver so many times the instal icon is faded. I have installed them in every possible order in every possible manner; auto, manual. When I open the KP3 Editor and hit "Receive" it says that there is not a USB Driver installed. Yes there is, if I go to device manager there are actually three drivers listed. I know I did it right but something is off. Any one else have this problem?

Plus, it won't recognize a 2GB SD card, but we'll get to that later.

And yes, Korg KP3 system software 2.0.

Please help!

2Go Card : no need to get to that later, the documentation says explicitly that the Kaoss recognizes SD Cards up to 1 Go

Actually, page 17 of the users manual specifies capacity up to 2GB.

regarding your driver problem:

have you run the utility in
Start > Programs > KORG > KORG USB-MIDI Driver > Install KORG USB-MIDI Device
select the device, click Install.

this step is often overlooked. it is necessary because windows mistakenly uses its own drivers for the device. the utility associates the proper KORG drivers with it instead.
