can microkorg XL be powered by USB connection?

Post by kimu »

Hi all,

i do not find this in the XL spec, i see it can work with battery or with its power supply, but can it be powered through USB connection?

i have a Xiosynth that is similar to XL (works using battery) and have a USB type B connector that can provide power supply, so i wonder if this is possible also with the microXL

Nope, the MKXL can't run off USB power. That's a nice feature of the Xio and X-Station, and they can even recharge the internal batteries from USB power, or faster recharge using the DC adapter.

thanks, it's a pity, when working on sequencer it would be nice to use just USB cable to play

Well, you technically can just have the USB... if you use batteries ;)
