Help! Over dub is not recorded!

Post by pastars »

Hi there!
I have triton extreme for a long time, and it worked perfect! But recently I don`t know what has happened - I cannot record e.g. channel volume slider movements or overdub any other control! (but over dub works, if I want to record additional notes on my keyboard)
Any idea what`s wrong?

Thanks!

I don't know off hand what could be causing the problem for you.
Try loading an older sequence and program file.
Create a new song and try out overdub.

I know that some .pcg and .sng files I've downloaded, sometimes change
some of the parameters on my Extreme and create problems, but reloading
previous setting or the factory pre-load, clears up any problems, for me.

I wonder if the track/s that you are wanting to overdub volume and other control information have to be set the global MIDI channel to work?

I haven't used my Triton's sequencer, so I'm not sure how it works. I think the Korg 01wfd worked that way (global ch. needed to record vol control).

Many thanks good people, you steered me to the right place. Had the same problem as OP, tried to overdub tone adjust changes with value slider and buttons. Could hear changes in real-time but they didn't record. Could overdub notes and the realtime control knobs but that was it. My fix was that the "Enable Exclusive" on "Global P1: MIDI; MIDI Filter" was unchecked. Checked it and presto, tone adjust changes now record!! Thank you Lord, this was killin' me!
