New to the whole Radias world/M3 Guy

Post by M3forever »

Hi,

In my case I'd like to put a EXB-Radias in my M3.

There seems to be a substantial # of sounds available to get started yet.

I posted to the M3 forum on this subject as there's not a dedicated forum for the EXB and except for DAZ no one responded so maybe it was in the wrong place. Thanks Daz for you reply!

Was wondering amongst other things if there were substantial differences between the engine/sound creation/architecture/design/capability of the EXB-Radias compared to either the Radias rack module, keyboard or the R3. Also, was the exb-option possibly slimmed down (so to speak) sonically in order to sell it at its price point? Is it missing anything present sound creation wise in it big brothers?

In your view & experience, how well does the EXB-Radias contribute to or perform in the following areas/types of sounds?

Spacey, Out there, Expansive
Expressive, Dense
New Age, Drones
Plush and Lush
Background/soundbeds
Textured layers
Gorgeous, complex, timbre evolves over time
Soundscape/trak quality material
Washes over and around and immerses the listener/player. Motion pans.
Classic Analog Pads
Totally suitable for chord progressions/chords held for a sustained period.
Timbre shifts, swirls and changes
Filter decays and sweeps

As you can tell I'm not a Trance & Dance, bassline & Techno user!

I would really appreciate hearing from this community in regards to what it does well and the reverse.

Looking forward to being better educated and all forthcoming comments and opinions.

Thanks,
Bruce

I haven't tried the exb board myself, but the radias rack is great at those sounds, and from what I've seen on youtube, the exb sounds pretty much the same.
