Hi Oracle
Well you asked ...
... I think the real reason nothing has happened is that not enough users have taken the trouble to write to their local Korg distributor complaining about the problem. If anyone had taken the trouble, then where are the copies of the letters on this forum? Don't you think people would post copies of them here if they had bothered to send a letter?
What about you guys on this thread, Asena, Oracle, wirakb, ajpa800, BasariStudios, piotrek_muzyk, macboy, robkeith, and paul? Have each of you written letters to your Korg distributor, and if so can you post a copy here ...
Best regards,
Rob

Rob, i somewhat disagree with you on this. It's like a house set on fire across the street from a fire department, and yet the fire department doesn't send the crew out to put it out, because they haven't been contacted officially by the residence of the house regarding the fire. All the screams, smoke, explosions were not enough to raise the flag for the people in charge. Like you said almost every other thread on this "popular korg forum" is about combining sets and a computer based file manager. That's true with every similar forum that i've visited so far. Fortunately, we're lucky enough to have Jerry and paolo on here too. They know how frustrated most people are about this. Why would a piece of paper make any difference at all? In my opinion this has nothing to do with writing some letters. They are very well aware of the problem, and so far they have chosen to do nothing about it. The missing link is "not" some complaint letters.Rob Sherratt wrote:Hi Oracle

I decided to write to them (just a simple letter) as per your opinion Rob. I have ccd you a copy.
We will post them as soon as I get a reply.
Since Paolo and Jerry are "monitoring" this forum, wonder why are they so quiet about these requests.
I know my musician friends are really blown away by the sounds and styles of the Pa2x pro, but they do not want to buy the korg PA boards since there is no "set" or "style" editor so for now they are sticking to their Yamaha keyboards.
The worst part is that they read about PA arrangers as being un reliable (OS and ram issues)...here on this forum and also on many other forums.
Cheers all
Paul

Hi pcguy,
I was told that the Korg Distributors provide feeback direct to Korg in Japan and that writing to the distributor it is the best way to keep the pressure up.
It's not like a fire in the house opposite the fire station. It's more like someone capsized their boat in the atlantic and we need to release a flare every time an aeroplane passes overhead.
Best regards,
Rob

Hi Rob,
I hear ya man! I am personally a new PA owner (3 months) compared to many others on this forum. Nevertheless
I take your criticism as I would like to see something get done about this issue.
May I suggest the following: One of the senior members would draft a petition letter stating our URGENT request for the set/style management software. We place this petition on the web so that each forum member and others outside it would participate. Fields to be filled include:
Owner Name
Country
PA Model
Unique serial Number
Date of purchase
Comment
The list will grow and we can send it to local distributors and to headquarters.
I also would request that some dependable members on this forum volunteer to translate the petition to other languages (Turkish, German, Arabic, Dutch etc). This is not intended for the KORG distributor or headquarters in Japan but rather to reach the largest number of PA Owners out there.
We can ask website owners of KORG related content (style and sound creators etc.) to place the link on their websites.
I believe this approach is more effective than asking individuals to write an original letter..
Also we'll all find out how many PA owners are desperate for the tool.
Regards,
Ziad
P.S I volunteer to translate the petition to Arabic, Swedish and German
