Why KORG chose 80 or 800?

Hi...I have a question, maybe a silly one

When PA80 came out, why did KORG chose for the arranger's name to have the number 80? Does it mean anything?

The 800 is actually 80.0 and the 2x stands for twenty something % unfinished!
