KORG R3 - Portamento Legato impossible?

Hello!

I have just bought a Korg R3.

I see the arpeggiator has the ability to "Tie" notes together wich is great.
However, the point of this to me is to be able to make slides (303 style).
But the problem is that neither MONO1 or MONO2 mode allows this as both has portamento on always. All other VA synthesizers have a legato mode where only the ties result in a portamento slide!

I know its a shame i own a radias and its the same porta alwayse or not

but theres a work around

if you set one of the virtural patches to go to porta on the velocity you can manualy

so velocity>portamento 20 or so
