Looks like Best Buy has internal and external card readers that read smart media.

Hint:Probably looking for <a href="http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 9679">This One</a>
Back in my day, we didn't have water. We only had Oxygen and Hydrogen, and we'd have to just shove them together.
radioshack employees dont know jack these days. i had pretty much the same experience except that i laughed at the lady.
best buy has ONE that'll work for reading smart media and it was 30+ dollars.
i got one for 10 dollars at circuit city, they had 3 or 4 that would work. the one i ended up getting _only_ works for smartcards. it's ugly and silver. which is fine by me because i already have a multicard reader.
all of this about 4 months ago. pretty sure CC will have the same ones there now (if there is one in your area).

I agree with you upon Radio Shack. I bent a yamaha dd-5 and was in there looking at the for knobs and buttons and the gus did not know the hell i was talking about. It makes some great sounds though.
Thanks for all your help. This will make my life a lot easier chopping up breaks.

OK,gil videla wrote:I bought the 12 in 1 card reader from ScanDisk
it never worked right, it would always say "card is not formatted"
So i would format. It would repeat the message. Then it continued with this message when the card wasn't even in the damn thing!
I now am looking for another reader
any suggestions?
1)first of all you need to have a smart media card,(128 Mb,3.5volts)
and then you format it in the electribe, then you save the data on it.
2) you must have a card reader that allows you to use a smart media card on it.for expl. the lexar multi card reader., that for ex mine the card plug in to the reader in opposite way, that the manual instruction of the card reader says, rember to look inside the reader to see where te pin is, so it will fit and will contact in the smart media card filament.
3)once the data it is been saved on the card, then you can back it up in your mac or pc it should be a simple thing to do
i do not have a 12 in on card reader get the lexar RW022 Rev B this on e work. i will do some research for youdjzaaga wrote:OK,gil videla wrote:I bought the 12 in 1 card reader from ScanDisk
