Hi benok,

Chris, Mick and I tried this in an early release of OS2 back in June and it worked fine then. I don't think there is any change to the guitar mode code, so I'm surprised to hear of any problem. Could you decribe exactly the steps and operations you are following to enter the guitar tablature screen? It only works with a track assigned to guitar mode of course. So you have to find a Style that has a track with Guitar mode enabled first.

Sorry I can not check at the moment but my Pa2x is at Korg Labs.

Best regards,
Rob

benok. I can tell you that in my PA2X , about half an hour ago , I started working in a new style incorporating imported grooves and guitar mode with no problems. Guitar fretboard showed up without a glitch!

I found the information in the PA2X manual. It will tell you to first select a track and assign it as a guitar track. Once you do that you may record in that track pressing the tab marked "guitar mode" . Play with the keyboard and you'll see the different up and downstrokes as guitar noises and the like. You'll have to experiment with 'til you get the feeling of the rythmn you are trying to implement in your style. The tab marked as guitar mode will only appear after you select a track as guitar mode.(style>record> menuStyle track controls> track type. that's what I've found so far

Hi Benok,

I'm very puzzled why you can not find Page 119 in the Pa2x User Guide. The current main user guide is downloadable from Korg's web site, and it is entitled "Pa2x-100UM-ENG.pdf" and the link to it is here:

http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/pdf/pa2x/ ... UM-ENG.pdf

There are two other user guides you need to have, first the Advance Edit guide which describes about sampling new sounds etc:

http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/pdf/pa2x/ ... AE-ENG.pdf

Then the OS2.00 upgrade guide that tells you about the recent new additions such as DNC, the score display etc:

http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/pdf/pa2x/ ... G-EFGI.pdf

Were you by any chance reading the Pa800 manual instead of the Pa2x manual referred to by Glaucotech and Lee?

Thanks,
Rob

I'm pretty sure we all got confused and Benok, you must have been looking at the Pa800 guide while the rest of us were referring to the Pa2x guide. Can everyone reading this thread please edit your profile as per the following request? ...

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=39265

Also can you do me a favour? If anyone is responding to a question, and the user has not yet modified their profile, could you send them a link to the above thread and ask them to modify their profile so we prevent confusion like this in future?

Many thanks,
Rob

benok
Sorry for the page number in PA2 vs PA800.
I should have paid more attention...to which board you have.

Sounds like you good to go now.
