Its ordered!

Post by EVPS »

Ok anyone keeping tabs on my sporadic questioning, umming and ahhhing, pestering of you lovely knowledgeable people can now take a huge sigh of relief - I have bitten the bullet and ordered a Korg M3 61 + EXB Radias!

Thank you to everyone who has helped me in this decision, I now have a week off work to get to grips with it and program it for doing some live work later this year. Really looking forward to it.

I think this might be the best purchase I've made in a long time, the Radias should mean I can retire my microkorg - when I have my key rig all set up will post some photos and any cool sounds I create, really keen to share with you all as you have me.

Thank you!

Well done!
You won't regret it.

To be honest, though - I thought you might have waited until Monday when Korg announce the successor to the M3 - the brand new M4. It seems absolutley fantastic!!

Just joking !

I'm sure I wont regret it - although my Kurzweil has been giving me evils all day - might have to show the ol' 2500 some MIDI'd Karma Loving!

Now theres a song title if ever I saw one......

MIDI'd Karma Loving - watch for it in the charts lol

Congratulations!
I'm still working on setting mine up for performance, and it's slow going with all those great sounds to choose from.
I hope you'll keep us posted on your progress there.
:D
Enjoy!

Hi!

It's a great borad, maybe too much great
I like it a lot, even if I'm missing my old Yamaha S90ES I'm sure I'll get totally used to just 1 keyb (M3 w/ EXB-Radias and EXB-M256).

Keep us posted!

I will certainly keep you posted - a lot of my songs were written using the Kurzweil and Logic Pro's instruments - mainly the ES2 and the EXS24. So live these duties will be taken care of by the M3. I will try and keep some kind of diary/book of notes about the transfer of these sounds to the M3, it might prove helpful to anyone looking to migrate ideas from one synth/daw to another?

I'm sure I'm not the worlds most capable synthesist (I know from reading the forum that a lot of you have undertaken much larger projects than this) but I would really enjoy sharing these ideas, maybe for those just starting it might be useful, with people if anyone's interested in some sort of tutorial with audio examples?

In the interest of keeping you updated my M3 has just been dispatched - lol!

Congrats EVPS!!!

Don't forget to check in on Karma-Lab. You're questions and presence will be warmly welcomed there as well!
There are no stupid questions.., only stupid answers..
