O3R/W vs O5R/W Compatibility

Post by ugufru »

Wondering...

1. Can you transfer all your combos and programs from the O3R/W to the O5R/W directly?

2. Can you do the reverse??? I have a ton of O5R/W and X5 sounds I'd like to transfer to my O3R/W...

It was my understanding that the 03R/W was basically a rack-mount version of the 01/W... and the 05R/W was a rack-mount version of the X5-series synths.

If I'm correct, that would mean that the two modules are incompatible, because they use a different set of multisounds.

Sadly, i'm thinking the only thing you can do is patch-edit 03R/W programs and copy the parameters from X5 manually to the 03RW. I had a similar issue... i wanted all the 01/W programs for my N364... i finally did find a program to convert them, but that was like 8 years ago. If you look you may be able to find it - look for X3 to 01W conversion (or vice versa) - i think that's what it was named.

Si no puedes contra ellos, cambia de vocalista...
