problem after updating to expanded m3

Post by musahsio »

I updated the m3, but noticed that the radias files were gone so I updated it again with the other memory stick that had the radias files in it and the m3expanded logo as well as 2.0 still shows, but inside, it has reverted back to the old firmware(the volume bars beside each instrument from new firmware is gone).
I tried to re install m3 expanded, but it just loads pcm data(2nd step of update). It does not re load system firmware.
Do you guys know how I can re install the new firmware?

Thanks

If it shows the red XPanded logo during boot-up then you have the right system software.

The velocity meters can be turned on/off - there's a box on the Combi and Seq front pages. perhaps you did that?

Radias programs can be re-loaded from the Global mode, basic page, upper RH menu command. Just choose 1-bank and select bank INT-F.

Ok works, thanks,
but theres seems to be an even bigger problem, all the radias combis are now totally messed up. Sounds are wrong, karmas wrong.
Do you know what I did wrong?

Hi I encountered the same problem, but was stupid enough to downgrade the system to 1.20 and now it doesn't work at all anymore.
I have removed the SD card and changed all the files to the Xpanded files, leaving the OS files in place, but without any luck. It seems there is a problem with the OS firmware and I have tried to download the OS somewhere but all the files are upgrades.
Can someone tell me what to do with this?
No error messages are notices during boot sequence, the red bar just dont want to move to the right.
I was hoping to being able to download the OS somewhere or change the files on the SD card with the latest firmware, also without luck.

Please help
Kind regards

Hi, i have EXB-RADIAS installed and full update to vers2.0 with additional sounds and combis from last update (before the Xpanded pack).

hence Korg consider correct that installing new OS 2.0 in M3 implies that all the Radias sound disappears and have to be re-installed?

can someone clarify this point please?

The regular RADIAS Programs in INT-F should be fine.

I will be posting a corrected versions of the free, after-market Combis and conversions we did later this week.

Stay tuned.

I have the same problem. Also acidental downgraded an 2.0 system. Due to misbehaving Combi's and EBB-Radias sounds from the "wrong" ZIP archive,I decided to reinstal to get rid of these soundbanks, but as I have 2 USB devices connected I stupidly choose the one with the 1.2 OS on it. Result M3 stalled, a real disaster. Any help to solve this problem would be appreciated.

actually, it seems that downgrade from 2.0.0 to 1.x for M3 OS is a real problem that freeze M3... up to now no solution to this.
