And what is the reason for that? Because you dont like to hear the truth about the old oasys?

MauroR wrote:Yes it's foleycore, the same writing style. It's him. I have no doubt.
I am telling you for one last time that I dont know that guy. I dont even own a Yamaha workstation and I dont want to buy one as well. I am not a member of any Yamaha forum.

Instead I own a Triton Studio. I wanted to buy an Oasys too, but its sequencer is useless for me and my today's needs. It is the same 16-midi track sequencer that my Triton Studio has. Why should I give 11,000 US Dollars to buy the same 16-midi track sequencer?

That is why I was so happy about the arrival of the new Korg Workstation. I hope the new one to be indeed professional with a really powerful sequencer built in not only with 16 midi tracks but with many more midi tracks and features.

McDonalds discontinuing Big Macs as of September 2008

Post by mdh »

It's true. I heard it from a guy who was told by his girlfriend who heard it from a colleague whose dentists, chiropractors, sister's, best friends former roommate once ate a Big Mac.

Look at all the problems it has... same special sauce, same two pieces of reheated cardboard, and cutting out the middle layer of bread in the assembly line will assist in feeding starving Cambodian children.

I was really hoping to get a Massive Mac but all McDonalds would give me was a Big Mac so HAHAHA good riddance!!

Think of the children!

PS: I appear more intelligent and knowledgeable by using markup... right? Of course I do.

BRAVO!!! :verycool:

Now, as for my latest thinking on this thread: I'm just glad I put an OASYS in my studio when I got the chance. If the O does get discontinued, all those who've been sitting back waiting for a "significant" price drop will be s**t out of luck when the prospect of getting any OASYS becomes super slim.

.. could you please be so kind and explain to a non native speaker what "almost 100% sure" means?
GiveItATry wrote:Let's hope now that the new Korg Workstation that is on its way is a real workstation with extraordinary sounds and a superb sequencer built-in for professional use only.
What is wrong with the quality of sounds in OASYS?
GiveItATry wrote:I visited the most trusted and respected Pan-European store thomann.de and they also hane no more Oasys 76 in their store but you can buy it ONLY upon request.
... if it is discountinued, why can you order it on request?
GiveItATry wrote: Also, Dan from Korg replied 5 (!) times to this topic and he did not specifically denied the rumours of a new Workstation coming along.
.. would this really surprise anyone that one day a successor will be launched? Otherwise Korg would still sell M1s.
GiveItATry wrote:So, this must be the end of the old Oasys who was addressed more to high school kids and semi's. Thank God for the new Professional Workstation.
... considering the list price I doubt that Korg targeted it for "high school kids". furthermore I have seen some of these kids and semi pros using OASYS ... Greg Phillinganes, Herbie Hancock, Tony Banks, Keith Emerson and one or two more or less well known kids more...

Although this thread is pointless, my money has been turned down recently in my attempts to purchase a new Oasys 76. Several sources have told me that no new ones are available. While this doesn't mean none "will" be available, they wouldn't take my money to place one on order either.

If anyone knows a reputable vendor selling new, please contact me via PM.

Thanks.

Again, while here in this post your oppinion about the OASYS sequencer is valid to a certain point, at least for me, what its not is the very offensive comments you have done before this one, and lead you to this position. Now you are banned. We have talked about this, didnt we?

Some laugh though if it's replacement had the same sequencer.
Yeah, isnt it? :)

Anyway, I´m more concern about the coming future of the "current" Sequencer of the "current" OASYS.

There will be no replacement for all of us who spent all we had on this one.

Yes, the development front has certainly gone quiet on the Oasys in recent times. The M3 does appear to be getting a lot more attention lately.

This means that there will either be some big announcement on a new development on the old O or a potentially new O. (That is if there is indeed a new O).

I am sure that something will be revealed to either end within the Winter NAMM now as it is not too far away.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember that Korg has released all the OASYS updates in a schedule completely independent from any of the major events.

Who cares - if it's discontinued I still have the coolest workstation I ever owned. I could lock myself up in a room and explore my favorite monster for many more years and still discover new exciting possibilities. 8)

And if an Oasys 2 is launched and it prooves to be better than the current one ... well, I'll buy it!
