Hi Verand

Sorry, but this may sound like a useless answer for you, however, I had my flight case tailor made for me. It cost a little extra but was well worth it. I have had it a long time and it is almost as good as the day I bought it.

If you know of any suppliers who make cases it is well worth investigating..

I am sure there are some retail products out there that will also suit.

Cheers

Hi Verand,

There is a hard ABS case made by Gator, see for example:

Please check measurements yourself! There are three versions, the 88 note slim, 88 note deep and 76 note.

update

I just bought a SKB 76 key case and it fits the pa2x like a glove, the modulation wheel is safe, that was my worry. The new series SKB has adjustable internal corners for a tight fit and has the new TSA2 approved locks for air travel. I paid $260 for it from the local guitar center which is fantastic deal. I used the case last night and it's very smooth and my baby was protected.

Just a question regarding these hard cases. Are these also good to use as a flight case for keyboards, or "flight cases" is a different categorey?

Hi Sam,

One of the best "flight cases" is the original cardboard box and custom moulded polystyrene packaging. Maybe it just doesn't look as smart as a black ABS case, but it's a lot cheaper :-)

I agree Rob. That's what I use and it's served me well. But I only transport my kit 1/2 dozen times a year.

I wouldn't fancy transporting my kit regularly in it and still have some nice hard cases from the days when I gigged every week. They just don't fit the PA1X :(

I made my own cases (or my dad did more acurately) and all the hardware needed can be sourced from Adam Hall...

I remember back in the days when I used to play organ and had my Technics organs professionally cut in half so I could transport them. I had a special trolley made so I could wheel the things around in 2 halves. The organs were made with beautiful furniture cabinets and I was lucky enough never to have damaged one despite gigging with them every week. Geez those things were heavy.
Cheers
