You have to change the octave. You have it at the lowest octave so it makes that funny noise. You can tell what octave the keyboard sample is in by looking at the row of Red dots right underneath the row of green dots. Its the same dots used to tell you what bar you are on. Use the < > buttons to change the the octave.

in the video you actually change the octave for no reason

you take the time to slide the octave all the way to the bottom from the starting point

i dont understand why you would be hitting the arrow button at all in that instance

LESSON for the newbie
In Keyboard mode, unlike Drum pattern recordings, Do Not employ red LEDs for position inferences i.e. the lower line of LEDs will not indicate the area in which you will be editing.
