Hello AK,A.K. wrote:I pray to god that one major fix in the new OS will be that if I upload a new style it will not sound mix with my old styles. Right now when I upload a new style it does not sound anything like if I format and then upload. If anyone has found solution for this please let me know because I have completely turned off by the keyboard. Its just not able to manage the files and folders. Again If anyone has figured out a way to do it properly I am still doing the following.
I upload new style. Then if I want to upload another style I format keyboard and then upload complete library and then upload new file. It takes about 20 minutes all together to do this. I am going insane with this and thats why i think the keyboard is worth crap at this point.
It is possible to upload and download styles safely and to locte them in any Favorites style bank on your Pa keyboard. There are some guidelines that have to be adhered to by the style developer, and by the recipient, and if these guidelines are broken then you will experience problems like the ones you are mentioning:
a) Styles shared with other people have to use only factory sounds, no user sounds or drumkits. It is currently not possible to load styles developed to use user sounds or user drumkits.
b) Styles have to have all configuration settings saved using "write style perf.". There are other configuration options eg using Performances or the Songbook, but these are not portable between different Pa keyboards.
c) Styles have to be saved into a single eg USER03.STY file, which is exchanged with other users. The recipient loads the USER03.STY file via USB and then specifies where to save it, eg FAVORITE07.
d) Do not load any .SET folder created by anyone else. It will in many cases cause corruption on your keyboard, or at least things will stop playing like they should.
e) Lock (protect) your Pa keyboard's Factory styles and sounds from being overwritten before you load anything from a 3rd party source.
f) Lock (protect) your Pa keyboard's Global memory from being overwritten before you load anything from a 3rd party source.
