Noob question but curious

Post by Hazard445 »

Is it possible to mix and match dual setups? For example, is it possible to use a korg triton extreme 88 key and a korg triton (Not extreme) as an EXT? (or the trinity)

If I think what you are refering to is blending the sounds together then yes you can.
Just add a midi cable and connect one end to the midi IN on one keyboard and the other to Midi out on the other.

I'm sorry my terminology isn't advanced, but I am referring to like...for example: I would set up my triton extreme to play strings/pads etc. and my top one I can set up as a harpsichord, in order to mix them together.

You can do what ever you want with midi.

You can assign both keyboards to play Extreme's tone generator, or Triton's (the other one, not Extreme) tone generator. Or both generators. Some sounds from one board and one from the another. Of course, that would be achievable in combi mode.

Now, this would make sense if those would be two DIFFERENT boards. But Extreme has everything previous Tritons had. So really there is no point in playing Extreme's pads and strings and older Triton's harpsicord. Extreme has that harpsicord or you can just load it to Extreme from older Triton.

If you want to know how is it done, there are previous posts on subject of combi with two boards midi connected, browse a bit.
