So as we start..but me, with a mistake..it is a problem oft admitted...careless things...!!!
Had the more than just genesis of number one well done...and it didn't save complete...(It was still on the O1W..all I had to do was put in another disc, but in my confusion...I shut the machine off...)...
The O1W loses the seq. when turned off..!!! and for a moment I just forgot..., so I start over...with the rest of you!! Teaches me to not fudge...(actually I have several going anyway...from the past...so I can get around it, even if I am short on time...)!!
John, I did a acoustic piece on the Triton sequencer. This was a lullaby for my nephew of which I was very happy. Just as I was finishing the last touches.....the power goes off and then back on. Thanks Florida, I was so mad I could not work on the piece for 6 weeks. I know it is silly but I was so mad I could not face the piece for a while.
I wonder if Mozart had problems on his sequencers? The older I get the more volatile my head memory gets.
Man..you talkin' my talk now!! Gulf Power, up here, goes off a couple of times a week!!! Just a "tick", but enough to "KnocK" any comp. controlled item...I am a game player on the wii and play II, and you would not believe the times I have said...in the heat of action...."soon as I get to (whatever) I will save..." and the current goes for an instant!!!!!!!!!!!! I am spooked...and save every few min. just because of them!!!!
So far it's Dee, George, Ellll, and Daz? Anyone else? Adding SEWA now and Lorenzo. 6 so far and counting.
Now Jonsolo is in. And I don't know how I missed Jazlover so that does make eight. DRwho is nine. Any more takers? I'd say we can take any others up until Feb ends. If anyone wants to jump in by then with a posted song they're officially in by my book.
Jaz: we'll have to figure out how to check your name off the list from month to month if you're going to do the 6 song thing every other month. Maybe I'll put N/A by your name for the off months or something like that.

Wow - almost feels like a class reunion! Brings back fond memories (the non-volatile kind). The timing for me is interesting as well - similar to OSAM 1. In OSAM 1 - my TS was new and my first synth. For OSAM 3 I will using an M3 - another learning curve - but this one should be quicker. The OSAM really forced me to learn learn learn - and try to be creative and work it all into my schedule. It was a very good time - had some rough spots - but that is when the learning really happens!
I know what your thinking - that bum - he survived OSAM 1 (barely) and didn't do squat for OSAM 2. Yea - thats me - I was over optimistic there .. don't know what I was thinking .... anyways .....
I am jazlover's camp - 6 tunes. Hey jazlover - maybe we are special ed. students
It was nice reading this thread - a warm cheers to all - looking forward to working with you and of course - your tunes.
I think the year to year popularity issues with OSAM have to do with how trying the year is, and I cannot do two years in a row, as it takes me some months after I do the songs to tweak and produce the cd. So I need studio mastering/mixing time afterwards. Now I'm at a point where a grueling 12 months of new compsing sounds just right for where I'm at.
